What's the running situation on Long Island?
What's the running situation on Long Island?
which part? it's a pretty long island...
Close to central on Long Island and not too close to coast.
No North Central Long Island.
Sunken Meadow is there
so like smithtown, port jeff area?
there are some sweet hills! I'll tell ya that much
if ur in the dead middle of nassau county you have a few options, each is a little bit of a drive (mostly cuz of traffic)
hempstead lake park: a trail extends;pretty much around the park but for about 15 minutes ur on pavement next to and crossing over souther state pkwy, to get to the other side of the park (actually crossing over an entrance ramp then going over the highway on a bridge, then reentering the trail)
bethpage state park is to the east which is prob my favorite, a few hills but largely flat and completely covered with foliage, mostly packed dirt and woodchips with little if any concrete or pavement
sunken meadow is in the northwest corner of suffolk county and is a bit of a trip to get to but is massive, hilly, and all trail. def the best park on the island for running.
then there is christopher moorely park which is a bit norht of mineola (i forget which town) but that is mostly concrete and is kinda small
