I'm looking for some advice from those who have had anemia before. I was just diagnosed after a month of feeling completely dead on every run. I've started to take liquid iron once a day and an iron pill at night, both with vitamin C and no calcium for 2 hours before or afterwards along with more iron rich foods. Previously i've averaged 80-90 mpw. I was wondering if i could keep my volume up but just make it all really easy runs (8-9 min mile pace)? I want to be able to do well at my state meet in october and i don't want to lose any fitness. Will this dig a deeper hole for me, or could it be beneficial? All help is appreciated.
