If you go to a good tattoo artist, there are some unbelievable tattoos you can get. In Green Bay, where there is a native american population, there is an exceptional tattoo artist who has tattoos up that are incredible like...

Now tell me those aren't impressive as pieces of art.

On paper, they are. On a body, they're trash.
i just think they are attractive on girls, kind of like a style thing, guys like certain girls with a certain style. i can't control what my wang desires, it has a mind of its own! i must say though tattoos make ugly girls twice as ugly, thats the drawback.
i regret mine. damn it.

these threads always turn out so lame. this is just another example of people placing their own values on others who they may not even know and who probably have had very different life experiences. most of the world exists in a much more complex reality than a lot of runners allow themselves.

What ever happened to that post of the day thing. This is one of the most intelligent comments I've ever seen on letsrun. Thanks dude.
this thread is pointless. get a tattoo if you want one. don't if you don't. you don't even have to associate with people that do if you wish. all your choices and I don't think any of them define a person one way or another.
don't say whether you think its cool for someone to have a tattoo or whether it makes them look less attractive. that's THEIR choice, and they didn't ask you. mind your own business and don't worry about what others think of it. everything will work out just fine.

Oh, whatever, "tribal." I'll bet you're a belly-dancer, aren't you? (Crazy how I know that, huh?) Or are you "tribal" cuz you're a commie reject? Yes, it is THEIR choice, just as it is MY choice to have an opinion on it. They don't HAVE to ask me, either.
Standard liberal bulljive mantra: do whatever you want, have zero standards, and to hell with everyone else. Btw, how's that workin' out for ya?
They look like t-shirt designs that I can buy in a road stop gift store in Colorado.
Why trash? The judgement on this board is hysterical sometimes. While I don't think tats are "cool" (I don't know anyone who's gotten a tat for the cool factor), I don't think that people who have them are trash. I'd rather be with a virgin with a tat than the team slut who has no tats and acts all sweet.
Nah, I simply got one 15 years ago just because I thought it would make me cool.
No other meaning whatsoever. I bet that applies to 50-80 percent of everyone else with them.
What about teams that do it? Iowa's mens team has the Hawkeye tattoed on their legs, Michigan has a few guys, Arkansas had a few, Notre Dame did. Thats a sign of pride in your school and what you do I think.
Every real man should have tattoos on their upper body. Only clean-shaved girlie men and fags walk the streets without tattoos. Perhaps Peggy Sue didn´t like them when you fingerdid her through her pink little panties, but then there are other girls in this world.

Does anyone that you know ever tell you how stupid you are? If not, you should find some real friends who will be honest with you.
People with Chinese/Japanese characters as tattoos have no idea what it says! It's so funny. Aparently, neither do the artists that do them. They just use a dictionary and try to copy (key word being "try") and if it doesn't translate, oh well, it's original and hot, right?
This one's funny:

and this one:

but the funniest was the one that said "crazy diarreah" but I can't find it.
How expensive are tattoo's? Man I really want one. I've been fooling people for all these years that I have a tattoo of a rabbit on my ass. When they ask to see it, and they don't find it, I tell then that it must have jumped in it's hole.
I want to get a hundred dollar bill tattooed on the top of my penis. Why? Because I like to see my money grow and my wife can blow the hell out of a hundred dollars quick. The bottom side should read "EAT AT FERNANDO RODRIGUEZ'S MEXICAN RESTAURANT IN CHATTANOOGA TENNESSEE". That, or just get the whole thing striped red like a candy cane.
i went to the tattoo parlor and the dude misheard what i said and ended up putting a giant beagle on my back...
I'm getting a tatoo for one of my friends that passed. I think they are a good way to remember people. It can also be a good way to express art
As long as it follows the simple rules of a tatoo:
1) it has to be original, i.e. japanese symbols are maybe not the best idea
2) it has to be something that will always mean something to you
3) it should have alot of thought put into it
5) it should be by an artist who you respect and sought out, not just anyone. It should be a work of art, not just a tatoo.
6) best to be in a place you wont see it everyday
7) dont get it to be cool
p.s. I hate people who say tatoos are gay or whatever. Like someone said before its a personal thing. Everyone is different. It doesnt make you better or worse for having one
Yes, tattoos are cool. End of thread.
