Just a few paranormal encounters, in no particular order...
I spent the night at the Baker Hotel in Mineral Wells, Texas. It's supposed to be haunted. It was a luxury hotel back in the day and many celebrities stayed there like Judy Garland, Clark Gable, and the Three Stooges. I think it's condemned now, but they used to have tours where groups could stay the night, which is what we did. We had the whole place to ourselves. There was only electricity on the bottom floor, so we had to bring flashlights when we went upstairs (I think it's 13 stories). I didn't see any ghosts, but there was some white noise/static on my walkie-talkie when I went into one of the rooms where Clark Gable once stayed. After my parents went to sleep, my sister and I watched "The Shining" on a TV in the lobby.
On a family vacation to Colorado when I was younger, we stayed at some old "haunted" hotel that used to be a bordello, but I forgot the name of it. We were the only people staying there that time too (other than the owners). I didn't see any ghosts there, but I did hear several women talking and laughing while I was in the restroom. Again, we were the only people there.
We visited the Queen Mary ship before and at first we were not impressed. There were a lot of staged "ghost" encounters as part of the tour. It wasn't until we got home that we watched our home video and saw a white/transparent old man with a pipe standing in a telephone booth that was on the ship.
Near Fort Davis, Texas, there are the Marfa Lights (in Marfa). We've seen those. They could be swamp gas, headlights, or who knows what. Well, I can say they are not headlights because we drove by one that was right next to the road. It was just a bright, white, huge orb.
When we were very young (probably less than 5), some weird white orb used to be at the foot of my sister's bed. We had bunk beds, but we would trade who was on top and who was on bottom every once in a while. It always followed my sister.
I won't even go into all the crazy stuff that happened when we used to play with a Ouija board. It got scary.
