After all of my races people usually criticize me by saying when i run it looks like i have heavy legs and tell me to do plyometrics , is it worth it?

Yes thney will make you alot better. Find a coach who knows what he's talking about first. It's hard to coach over the internet.
I find that plyos help with your form and then maintaining good form once you get tired. They also help with flexibility and stability, depending on what plyos you do. I would say give them a try, but look up some good routines or talk to a coach or trainer who can show you how to do them right. They're no use if you do them wrong.
who are coaches out there that know plyos? I am looking for someone to help.
