give me another name and so back up
Mainer, shut up. I'm from Maine and I want True to do well, but you coming on here and stating equivocally that he's going to win shows either a lack of knowledge about or respect for his competitors. True will do fine; even if he doesn't win, he's our best runner since Luchini.
Hey Jenny, if you're at least 18, can you post some naked photos of yourself?
LOL ...btw galen rupp will rape the field followed by ryan deak christan wagner tshchirt (sp?) from NY should do well also.
I will stick with my pick Garrett Heath.

Not what I had in mind, but it's a start.
Wagner will keep steadily improving and win.
Here are the returning finalists with their placements from last year. Before looking at the results, I was thinking that Rupp, Deak, and Wagner were clearly the class of the field. I may have to rethink my original thoughts.
6 Garrett Heath (11) Midwest Winona Senior H.S. Winona MN 15:14.5
7 Mohamed Trafeh (11) West Duarte H.S. Duarte CA 15:14.8
8 Ahmed Haji (11) Northeast Conard H.S. West Hartford CT 15:15.3
9 Benjamin True (11) Northeast Greely H.S. North Yarmouth ME 15:16.1
12 Ryan Deak (11) South Maclay H.S. Tallahassee FL 15:20.3
20 Hakon DeVries (11) Northeast John Jay H.S. Hopewell Jct. NY 15:32.2
21 Ian Gottesfeld (11) Northeast West Chester Henderson H.S. West Chester PA 15:33.5
27 Christian Wagner (11) Midwest Columbus North H.S. Columbus IN 15:47.2
28 Victor Gras (11) Northeast Belmont H.S. Belmont MA 15:55.8
29 Kevin Tschirhart (10) Northeast Northport H.S. Northport NY 15:58.9
31 Brian Sullivan (11) South The Woodlands H.S. The Woodlands TX 16:19.7
DNF Galen Rupp (11) West Central Catholic H.S. Portland OR
As I've said in other threads... True is still my pick. However I will tend to disagree with Jenny and go ahead and say that True is THE finest high school runner to come out of Maine. Have a look... when this year is over (provided he's healthy all year of course) he will be regarded as a much more sucessful HIGH SCHOOL runner than Luchini or Matt Lane. However... as for what he does in college... who knows?
Hajji was fasting too. Still qualified... not worried.
True very well may be better than Luchini was, but needs at least a runner-up or 3rd place finish at Foot Lockers and a 9:0X 2-mile to make a good case. The 2-mile I'm convinced he can do, if he gets in a fast race. The Foot Locker place might be tougher, but is certainly doable. He'll have to contend with Wagner, Trafeh, Rupp, Deak, T-Shirt, etc., though. I'd love to see Ben do it, but if he doesn't, he's still a remarkable runner and will run great in college, just as Lane and Luchini did.
Hakon.
