Does anyone have any experience with ultrasound as an effective treatment for achilles tendon problems?
Thanks
yes
i found that it helped me during 2 bouts i had during college. i combined that with ibuprofen to keep swelling down, warm whirlpool before running, stretching, and cold whirlpool/ice after running. when running i wore a compression sock to help- some people go the tape route, but that just didn't work for me.
i found it effective in relieving some of the pain when i've had to deal with recurring Achilles tenosynovitis - which is problems with the tendon sheath rather than the tendon itself
ultrasound won't heal it, but might make you feel better
Yes, it's helped me a lot. Combine it with some massage and gentle stretching, and it'll be better in no time.
