I caught something pretty nasty about 10 days ago. It began as a cold and developed into something of a sinus infection with fever-like symptoms. The fevers lasted three days. I've slept about 10 hours a night since I got sick, but my training has suffered immensely.
I was running about 75mpw and got knocked down to 40, with one horrific workout. What do you people suggest I do to get back to where I was? How quickly should I now attempt to get back? I've done several slower and shorter runs and I'm not sure that I'm quite back to normal, but the sinus issue is gone - I just feel weak and my muscles are a bit achey.
I am expected to race 5k on Sunday. What do ya'll suggest?
