I have a brother who needs to gain weight, he is 5"8 and weighs 120 pounds. He doesnt really have a big appetite but realises he needs to do something and I think if he is given a list of foods or a food plan for a day that more than meets his requirements , that he will eat it even if the desire isnt there. Only thing is I'm not sure what to put on the list.
I thought I was doing him a favour by getting him one of those supplement shakes, but it seems to be high in protein and not calories so I'm not sure if its a waste of time. Can anyone suggest calorie dense foods that are easy to eat and prepare or that dont really make one feel full? Or any other tips would be great.
How about extra sugar, I know it's what we tend to keep away from, but in his state might it be a good idea? His body fat is very low, so I dont think it would suddenly make him fat, but is starting to eat a chocolate here and there going to be a bad idea?
I'm just trying to think of these he can eat easily and gain weight.
