32 point differential - it was like eye candy
It certainly is nice to see them get stomped.
Kobe had to run back to the locker room and not face the music. She is the most overhyped player in a overhyped laegue.
In his defense, he doesn't have the greatest of supporting casts. The best way for them to win is for him to drop 60 - can't do that every night.
The Lakers barely made the playoffs, I don't think anyone really thought they had a chance against the Suns anyway.
That being said, the league sucks compared to the Bird/Magic/Thomas/Jordan eras.
The Lakers suck. They really could use a point guard. There is a huge difference in talent level between the Lakers and the Suns and it showed.
Still I hate watching the Lakers play. The only way they have a chance is if Kobe throws up a ton of shots and one on one or one on two isn't the kind of basketball I like to watch.

Those Lakers sure look good
Jerry West, huh? Nice job with Memphis this year. That 22-60 record was "great," too!

That's actually not in his defense either. He used to have an amazing supporting cast, including Shaq and a few other talents. Don't forget Kobe was the reason most of them left in the first place (certainly the reason Shaq left) because he wanted to be the goto guy.
Well congratulations Kobe. You are the goto guy. You have accomplished your goal. Sadly, you are not enough and there is nobody else to goto. Enjoy what's left of your career filled with first or second round playoff exits.
If Shaq wanted to be the go-to guy, once the Heat got Wade he needed to start looking for a new team again. DW is the go-to guy in Miami, Shaq rode his coat-tail to the championship last year.

Just to be clear: I meant that Kobe wanted to be the goto guy and couldn't stand sharing the stage with Shaq or anybody else.
I've been a Lakers fan for 25 years, and it's just sad to watch them right now. It's 4 guys standing around open while Kobe tries to dribble through the other team before forcing up an awkward shot.
DW is a stud but having Shaq underneath helps opens the game up for DW. Or do you think it was just a strange coincidence that Hardaway, Kobe, and now Wade are all stars with Shaq underneath?
Doesn't look good for Miami this year in any case.
Yes, Grand Valley has really improved over the past few years. They are a DII powerhouse now. How many guys are returning for 07 XC?

So just because he's not the go-to guy means he's not a valuable player?
Kobe's still a star without Shaq underneath(he dropped how many 40+ point and 50+ point games this season?), but the fact at the end of the day remains that Kobe's machismo is too much for him to swallow in his dillusional quest to reach Jordan-esque status.
