I will be in Baltimore in the near future and am looking for suggestions on places to run. I will be staying downtown in the Inner Harbor area. Thanks in advance.

If you dont mind driving some where, there is a nice state park a little north around Cattonsville and Arbutis (spelling is probably off for both). The park is Potapsco.

Miles and miles of trails and its pretty green there now so its awesome. Oh, how i love running in that park. It is by far the best part of my day!
Well, if you can drive, the Northern Central trail is worth the trip. Nice surface.
If you are stuck in town I used to do a loop from the inner harbor up to Federal Hill and then hung a left on whatever road takes you out to Ft. McHenry. If you go around the Fort, then it's about a nine miler going out and back to the inner harbor. Not the most spectacular neighborhoods to run through, but I never had any problems.....
Cheers.
Did essentially the same (twice) week before last when in Ballamer. Federal is a hill w/ short loops on top. Can do loops around McHenry and you're by the water, can see the Harbor. I'd count it a shade under 8 from Inner Harbor to McHenry and return.
I'm thinking about going to law school at University of Maryland in Baltimore; I checked out the area surrounding the school and I was wondering if there are any areas that would be an easy drive in (the school is on West Baltimore Street) and would also be a little more conducive to simply walking out my front door and going for a run. I understand that Patapsco and Gwynn Falls are pretty good places to run but I'm also going to be working and driving somewhere every day to run can get old. Thanks
I worked 3 years in the med center right near where you will be going to school. Someone might have discovered something I didn't but the loop I mentioned above was about it if I ran downtown. I found running in the city terrible, which was offset by really cool stuff out of town (Northern Central, B + A trail, Columbia trails, etc). Just the way things are around there.......
Good luck.
i'm at school at U. MD (Medicine) now, live in the neighborhood next the campus, and patapsco is incredibly close (15 minute drive at most for me.)
gywnn falls/leakin pk takes about the same amount of time.
i've got no problem running in the city - b/c of my schedule it's usually late nights or early mornings, but there are good runs through fed hill (as mentioned) along the river, to fells pt/canton, up to mt. vernon and the arts district, through the stadiums and out to middle branch pk too.
plenty of places to run, you've just got to know where to look for them.
