Last night, I went out for a tempo run with the temp at 25 degrees. weather.com showed a windchill factor of 15 degrees. I was going along at 6:45 pace (approx. 8.9 MPH)and it felt pretty good when the wind was to my back. After a couple of turns, I was running directly into the wind and the difference was substantial and felt even colder than 15F. I'm convinced that when you move into the wind, you actually affect windchill on your body. Does anyone know of a formula that shows how Farenheit temperature changes with an increase of wind velocity PLUS your own motion in MPH?
