The sleepy old man is on a roll! He's put together a fine team of competent, dare I say, the BEST people to pull us out of Trump's COVID malaise and the inflation that resulted from Trump's excessive free money giveaways to corporations and individuals.
The majority of states have Republican governors and the President during the lockdowns was Donald Trump, so blame lockdowns on them, if you think they were a problem. The fact is that the economy crashed due to Trump's failure to prepare the country for COVID and the economy soared under Biden. It's true that inflation was high under Biden, but considerably lower than in other developed countries, which all saw major inflation. In any case, I'd rather have a job with moderate inflation than no job with low inflation, if that were under the president's control. Biden's measures played a major role in the quickest ever recovery from a deep recession in American history and in the continued low unemployment. Trump is perhaps the only American president since Hoover to see net job losses in his presidency.

Covid and trump was an amazingly eye opening. He fought tooth and nail against spending money or lockdowns. The left tore him apart for it. Now hes blamed for the money spent and the job losses of the lock downs. Amazing times

He raised the National Debt by $9 Trillion. Not exactly fighting tooth and nail against spending.
There should be three federal government reports and only three federal government reports released to the public:
1) Labor Participation Rate, 2) C.P.I., 3) G.D.P.
Would home sales be a factor in g.d.p?
There are so many reports, it seems like statistical noise to help politicians. I don't mind government tracking other variable. All other reports available if one files Freedom on Information request.

Yes sir

I don’t know what the deal is people have with him

For a lot of everyday folks the only numbers they care about are their budgets. The press secretary can spew data and talking points, but these people couldn’t care less about any of that because they’re spending more money on basic needs when they go grocery shopping. Simply put, the cost of everyday life is more expensive. We can argue about the root cause and previous administrations and what not, but they really don’t care.
Other people I talk to who follow politics have differing reasons. One that comes up consistently though is that they think the Biden administration is weak in terms of geopolitical issues. A lot of new wars and conflicts have happened under Biden’s first term. Political pundits promised WWIII under Trump yet we see more unrest with Biden in office. No new wars during the Trump administration and some level of stability in the Middle East with the Abraham Accords.
The US border has also came up quite a bit. The nursing student being murdered in Athens Ga really brought the issue to the forefront for a lot of people it seems. The southern border has been a long standing issue with politicians on both sides playing football with the issue, but the murder of a promising young woman has turned the attention up.
Lastly, he just doesn’t come off as likable as he once did. He’s a politician and I think most people knew it was all a show, but the facade has really fallen off with his age. He’s giving off more of the grumpy old man vibe as of late instead of the cool uncle Joe vibe.

There is no demographic in the US that makes less money (inflation adjusted) than they did in 2019.

You’re doing what political pundits do and trying to use graphs, spreadsheets, and “inflation adjusted” numbers. Real people’s eyes glaze over when you go into that. They know what they spend today on weekly groceries, electric bill, and gas compared to 2019. They don’t get out a Ti-85 calculator to do the math regarding inflation. And honestly, some of them resent people (politicians especially) trying to tell them that they’re better off today when they don’t see that in the balance book. Again, you have to remember who votes in elections and most are low information voters.
I despise Trump and think he belongs in jail but any president would have had similar results during the pandemic.
I don't think vixen is doing a terrible job but I want to see inflation ended without the high interest rates and new job numbers are meaningless without context. I want to see jons that pay under a living wage separated from jobs where you can afford basic necessities, including housing, on the salary.
