I haven't seen: A Bug's Life, Brave, Finding Dory, Cars 3, Onward, Lightyear, Elemental
Coco= meh, at least 10-15 slots below Monsters inc, cars, Wall e, and Toy Story
Ratatouille was cute but nothing special like TS and Cars.
Cars was far better than both. Practically the frozen of pixar.
No accounting for taste.
I'd say Ratatouille is the most complex thematically of all pixar movies (only ones that come close are the toy stories) while still being highly entertaining. You could probably watch it a dozen times and focus on a different theme on each viewing.
Coco is one of the best musicals of the past decade. Deep, dark, great characters, with a great setting. It's superior to all Disney musicals, including Frozen. It's my third favorite musical of all time.
I love cars - I probably rank it higher than most would because often I prefer style over substance - especially if it's going to be an animated movie about talking cars. And there isn't much better than the style of cars in the pixar lineup.
I don't think Pixar ever topped the original Toy Story. There have been technical improvements in animation but from a movemaking and storytelling standpoint I think Toy Story is still the best, partly because the subject is so well adapted to the animation style. In 50 or 100 years, it will still be regarded as a classic movie. The Incredibles is a very close second. After that, there are a lot of good ones to choose from, but not quite at as high a level.
Ratatouille. it's not only a brilliant movie but it's aged really well. it's the only Pixar movie that if I'm channel surfing and I come across it I'll stay and watch.
