Humble Atoscosita, who set HSR of 38.92 earlier this year, ran 39.68 in final and 39.94 in prelim. and Galena Park North Shore ran 39.96 in the prelim.

Could have been faster, too. Woodlands ran 40.29 in prelims and Klein Forest ran 40.40 in prelims. In the finals, woodlands messed up the first pass and bumped into Klein Forest. Woodlands didn't get DQ'd for some reason, but it doesn't really matter since they ended up running 47 for DFL.

It sucks too - Klein Forest was looking GOOD with their 40.40 and are technically the defending state champions even though their #1 transferred to Atascocita, and Woodlands probably could have gone sub 40 at the state meet. They also went all-in on relays to try and get the title off of winning all of them, which would have been a ton of fun to watch.

Oh well. I'm sure that somehow, in some way, Texas will be even more competitive next year.

That's because Texas is a RED state and everything there is BETTER. Teams in Massachusetts don't run as FAST because they're too busy worrying about what bathroom to use!

I am fat and old and my sons haven't talked to me in a decade. I like to watch Fox News with the volume turned up real high because it doesn't make me feel alone.

It is highly suspect. It just doesn’t compute for a high school time. Look up where they would rank in D1 4x100 times this season. They only have 1 guy that would merit this time, and they don’t have 4 of him.
