This isn't what I tuned in for.
The women's race started and then the coverage cut away for 20 mins plus.
No wonder people don't watch running, because they don't actually get to see it when they tune in.

I actually tuned in a little late and thought I had the start time wrong.
They will be watching in Australia. They place Paras on a higher pedestal than able bodied. Its actually disgusting how they pander to the specials.
Lmao I'm a critic of the BBC focusing too little on the elites but this is ridiculous
"Pandering to the specials" - showing 20 minutes of wheelchair racers versus 2 hours of elite/regular coverage is hardly pandering, particularly when all you're missing is the least important part of the women's race. Nothing that happens in the first 5k will matter.
The normal pro race is just too boring for the average viewer and humans are also apt to over compensate as they feel bad for disabled people.
there should be 30 second snippets. nothing more.
but this is our sport.
That why I record the race and start watching two hours later. That way I can fastforward the wheelchair racing and the weirdo's in their costumes.
Get a race marshall costume and divert them down a boat ramp.
I will only watch wheel chair racing when Caitlin Clark decides to compete. It will be total domination.
