Nice PB for Kemei in 2nd to 1:44.1. African Champs Kemei and Komen challenging the big stars and getting PBs. Looked like both Kemei/Wanyonyi cruised the last 50 after Wanyonyi got the gap back.
I knew someone who used to say whenever people hear Boomer the next work should be Sooner, maybe something to do with the University of Oklahoma, as he was from University of Oklahoma as that is where he is from, I went to Oklahoma State so I dont know exactly
He seemed rather a bit upset and wanting revenge last year after his final of Budapest.
Athletics Weekly had all their hope on him.
But I understand British medias always sympathise with their old colonies.
If you are referring to Jakob I can tell you he has better suited body shape and style of running.
what are you talking about Girma is Ethiopian. no colonization
The Italians did occupy it a couple of times first in 1890's and then in 1940's though, who knows maybe the next time, The 3rd time will be the Charm for Italy, regardless Ethiopia should keep trying if you fall on the stairs you don't just stop ever trying to walk up the stairs have fell on the stairs and tried again
Yeah, I thought she would go a bit faster but not bad, nonetheless. Good experience for her, also.
Quite frankly, though, I'm surprised that the Wiley fanbois haven't bombed this thread with shade being aimed toward the bogeyman that lives in their heads, Katelyn Tuohy.
Leave Kipyegon out of this, she is better than everybody
Tsegay was injured too in Budapest and couldnt close like the rest
but look what she did after..broke a WR
and yes she has closed faster than 59 in Tokyo she closed in 58.xx just like Obiri.
what i'm reading here are excuses as always heavily favored on Hassan.
Yeah no. Kipyegon was not better than Hassan (overall) from 2019-2021. And I doubt Tsegay was "injured". Truthfully, she's never closed anywhere near that fast and has never given any indication that she's capable of doing so. Again, Tsegay is great at paced time trials. But her world record has nothing to do with closing speed, which is the subject of this convo. Hassan doesn't need excuses, she's proven herself time and time again
Hassan was better in 2019 and there were no races in 2020. In 2021 she raced Kipyegon 4 times and Kipyegon won 3 of them, including the race in Monaco when she crushed Hassan with a devastating kick. So no, Hassan was not better that year.
The reality is that Hassan has only run one great 1500 in her career and that was the WC in Doha.

Was not better at 1500, correct. That's why I said "overall", which she was
2nd straight “below avg” race for Wiley. What happened? New coaching clearly not working for her. Should have stayed with her old coach until after Paris.
