I use to run back in high school as well as some college, back then I was running low 33s for a 10k. I quit running about six years ago, gained about 30 pounds from drinking a handle of vodka a day. Fast forward to now, my old high school running buddy convinced me to run a marathon with him next October. So I started running again and after two months of running Im shocked, I lost all the weight. I am running fastish again and have been around 50 miles a week for a month now. I could break 3 hours in the marathon next week based on my runs right now. You only need a 2:40-30 to be in the top group at the race. So my question is do any hobbie joggers got any crazy training they could recommend me? I’ve got so much time in between now and the race. I need a mad man’s plan that would give a turd like me a shot at messing with the wannabe pros at the race?? It’s fine if it’s crazy, I’m a little crazy.
