I just have a question. Why is the women's college 5000 record, so far behind the pro women's 5000 in terms of time?
If the WR is 14:00, then there should be a lot of women in the gap between 14:00 and 14:52, right? Couldn't they, if still young, snag some pretty sweet scholarships and fame? Wouldn't that be a springboard to a pro contract? It seems like a massive gap.
In the men's race, the WR and the college times are only 23 seconds apart (approximately). Why is that gap so much smaller?
