I know Hocker is Rojo’s son that he never had but he pushed Hobbs and should be DQ’d

Hocker was ahead of Kessler, Kessler tried to squeeze by and Hocker held his ground which he is allowed to do. Kessler then got tripped by Hockers back-kick which would not be his fault.

Hocker had position and Kessler tried to pass on the inside when there clearly was no space to do so. It was on Kessler.
Kessler screwed himself with his poor positioning. He doesn’t know how to run in a pack. His fault for skipping NCAA racing.
Hobbs should toughen up. Just flat out quit.

Watch the video again in slow motion. Hocker did a ninja backflip, landed behind Hobbs, pushed him off the track, pinched Nuguse's a$$, flipped the bird to Ingebrigtsen, kissed Kerr on the cheek, and then hopped back into the race.

I hope he figures it out so he can win a world medal someday.

I vote "DQ Hocker!"s post below the all-time greatest piece of poetry in the history of letsrun.com. Well done mate.

Yeah, you can't hone professional tactics in professional races.
Kessler barely got away with the inside squeeze on that 800 last week, didn't learn his lesson there it seems.
Technically that was on Hocker, but Kessler should have yielded for his own good
sucked hard watching hobbs have to bail
hocker didnt need to do it, I get its a race but people are just trying to run fast for this
2 people were in front of them and hocker still tried to pinch hobbs in a couple times
just run straight and race
Wasn’t enough space. Centro watching laughing. He coming for all them fools at the trials he got that hand phone ready to flip out at the finish line

Not by quitting them you can’t.
(Which “professional tactic” did Kessler “hone” yesterday?🤣)
It's evident from the video that Hocker tripped on the rail when cutting in and Hobbs got knocked by Hocker in the shin. I would argue that no one is at fault, it's just an unfortunate mistake.
Looks to me like Hockers leg made inadvertent contact with Kesslers on the back kick. Hocker then had his stride thrown off as his legs collided mid-stride and nearly lost balance. His leg just hit Hobbs as he regained his stride and Hobbs lost his balance and went into the infield. Again just mostly a bad luck instance from the initial contact to Hockers leg hitting Hobbs in a vulnerable part of his stride.
I just rewatched yesterday's Bowerman Mile. Starting around 1:06 into the race, it’s clear to see that Hobbs had the better position on the inside of lane 1, with Jake Wightman right ahead. Over the next 10-15 seconds, Hocker clearly was trying to get over on top of Hobbs. He fought it off well for 15 or so seconds but let that small gap appear in front of him while focusing on Hocker. Once that gap appeared, Hocker stepped right in and tripped up Hobbs. I’m not sure the exact rules, but this is definitely a close call on being a DQ in my opinion.

The thing is, he didn’t have to bail.
