The temperature was a roller coaster this week. Monday and Tuesday were 82 degrees. That was a definite shock to system. I wanted to do 4 sets of 200s on Monday but 3 in that weather was plenty. Tuesday felt like a good ol' summer run (as in dying by mile 5). Wednesday through Saturday was chilly. Fridays thresh workout felt great though. 5:35 felt right on thresh and those were the easiest 32 second 200s of my life. Sunday was warm again and I struggled with hydration. HR rose the more dehydrated I got but it was a solid LR. Very happy with this first week and I am enjoying taking my easy runs slower. I'm starting out around 7:30 and allowing myself to naturally progress or stay at a comfortable jog. Only time I go sub 7 is on a big downhill.
