I am a 22 year old post collegiate runner who still trains seriously and is looking to make big gains in 2024. I competed at the NCAA DIII level for two years, however my second of the two was plagued with injury. Now I am back training full-throttle and am ready to set new PR's. My current PR's are - 4:31 (1500), 4:53 (mile), 9:31 (3k), 10:07 (2 mile), 16:09 (5k), 33:45 (10k). I know that these PR's are not great but these are from two years ago which is the last time I was healthy long enough to PR. Also my PRs in everything shorter than 5k are from meets that were being ran as workouts.
I am currently focusing on the 5k/10k as I am running a 10k at my alma mater's meet late March. I will post my training for the week every Sunday night, and I would love to have feedback from anyone with advice. As a disclaimer I am self-coached, and my training right now is geared towards running under 33 minutes in the 10k late March. I also work 12-hour night shifts so I must be flexible with training, but I am still able to get plenty of mileage and intensity throughout the week while getting plenty of sleep and nutrition. Thanks to anyone who has input!
