NNormal Shoes

I’ve run through several pairs of Kjerags since they were released. IMO it’s the best trail shoe out there. I think the durability claims are overblown; they’re a durable shoe, but other shoes out there can match their longevity.

I don’t think it makes sense as a replacement for your road trainer at all.

I have several pairs of the NNnormal Kjerag and for me the are very close to being the perfect shoe.

They are extremely light weight and hold the foot very well. They have no removable foot bed and that can take some getting used to as the fabric covering the midsole is a little grippy and can cause blisters initially. You may need to go down a half size from your usual size as they are slightly big for their size and have plenty of room in the toes.

They ride very nice, feel fast yet still feel good at slower paces. After a good 200 miles or so they soften up quite a bit. I have a pair with over 500 miles and they are still going strong, no holes, plenty of tread (mostly dirt trail miles) and good cushion. I am guessing I could take these to 1000 miles easy but I am not using them for longer runs and instead have rotated in a newer pair.

If you want a versatile shoe that will last, with plenty of ground feel it is a great shoe. For a shoe that is so light weight and somewhat low amount of cushion it feels forgiving yet fast enough for most days. For truly fast stuff you may want another shoe.

Also, I would probably agree with 'nnormal guy' not really the best replacement for a road trainer but they ride fine on the road. If its just road trainer you are looking maybe look elsewhere, if you want a shoe that can go anywhere and do it all and you plan on using it for that, its a great a shoe.

Early on in a pair of Kjerags. They are certainly light and nimble. Though I do think they are a bit over priced. They are certainly a contrast to all of the overbuilt shoes on the market, but it seems like they should be more in the $140-$150 range, rather than $195. I get the sustainability and the fact that small niche companies need to charge more, but I've never really found mileage and price correlate so much. And I do like them, but I think part of the higher mileage estimate is that they don't start with too much to begin with.
