Like what? Faking "COVID" and taking track sponsorship $ to... dance?
Mu is a has been and while once great, she's currently a disgrace to the sport you claim to have an interest in.
Just retire already so fanboy clowns can stop their inane "defense" of the indefensible.
More stupidity. Why are you fabricating her faking COVID. What the hell is going on in your mind ? Where is your evidence ?
So she can't dance ? Does track sponsorship control when, where, if and how you dance ? Do you somehow feel you have control over her ?
How the hell is she a disgrace ? Why do you want to bring this disproportionate impression on her ? Again, what exactly is going on in your mind ? What are you ?
This is a track message board. I'm here to talk about track performances. What are you here for?
No you're not. You're here to talk about dancing in the stands, which, the last time I checked, is not a track and field event.
Seems you're part of the group who with lacking properly functioning empathy seek to isolate occurrences out of context to pull Athing down not understanding the immorality in doing so which will come back to trip you up.
Or, she had COVID several weeks ago and it disrupted her training for a couple weeks so her coach is having her focus on getting her fitness back versus training. This has been a common approach for elite runners.
Which "variant" did Mu have? X.bbbb.23x.Yz.-sub-alpha? If so, she's right to be cautious, it's the most spreadingest, longest howling variant of all to date.

Oh please. The bottom line is that she was sick and it screwed up her training for a couple weeks, which is totally normal. Why are you triggered by this?

If you mean empathy for Mu's (third bout of) Covid, I don't believe a word of it. I predict she will run US trials and worlds and then disappear again. I like Keely but I'm also rooting for Mary Moraa. She did a dance last night, did you see it? Difference is she earned it.
"No, real track fans want to see her race. Hardly any races last year and even less this year."
That is true. It is also more true that both real track fans, and especially casual fans, want to see her and other athletes race, win, and set records at championship meets. That is where the biggest rewards are. This has been the case for over half a century.
So, so what if Mu was ducking competition to minimize risk of injury, or embarrassment if she wasn't recovered? That is the system we have. (Also, the bigger meet was in Rabat.)

So Athing Mu has won two Olympic gold medals and a WC gold medal. All by the age of 21. She has always been a class act whether she was representing her track club, Texas A&M, or Team USA. An incredible role model. Even if she quit the sport today she has earned the right to do whatever the **** she wants to do. No permission from random people on the internet needed.
Not sure why you care so much if Mu races. So, shes not racing. There’s plenty of others to watch, if you like T and F. For example, how about the 200 ? Prandidni had a nice strong finish, and I was glad to see Battle improve her time from almost 21.8 down to 21.5 something. None of the times were very impressive but these ladies also know its all about building up to be at your best in late summer. I suspect the times will start to drop near and then under 22 as the summer moves on. Richardson has run the most impressive 200 this season, from what Ive seen. The big question is, can she sustain, or continue to get better?
