Horrible officiating..the worst
oh pleaze
I'm impartial and agree with OMBTS. The breaks are not going in Seattle's direction, that's for sure.
the long faces and tears of the seagulls are more than I can take, boo hoo. Gee, how many opportunities did the birds have to turn it around and didn't, and how many times did they send their QB on a suicide mission to get a first down, zero, and now they are going to cry about the officiating? I think they just got beat, not outplayed for sure, just beat.
acceptance
I agree that they didn't make the plays but the breaks did not go in their favor. Bottom line... make the plays, win the game.
Congrats to the Steelers. Guess I'll eat crow now....
By the way, where is Sheryl?????????????
Please move to Penn. I am embarrassed you live in my home state.
The officals made several bad calls that directly affected the score of the game. The offensive pass interferance in the inzone was a poor call that cost the Seahawks a touchdown.
The Big Ben touchdown should not have been called one, not because the replay showed one way or another, cause it really didn't but because the offical on the sideline did not call a touchdown at first than ran about 5 - 10 yards towards the play, than called the touchdown. At the time he was running towards the play, with no players blocking his view, the football was clearly nowhere near the endzone until Big Ben moved it from his gut to his head. The offical had the time to notice where the ball was and he changed his mind. That cost the Seahawks a touchdown right there. The Steelers would have gotten a fieldgoal than.
When the Seahawks got the ball down to the 2 yard line and they had that bogus holding call on them. That cost them a very good chance to score a touchdown, field goal at least.
The commentators completely agreed with the above statements.
As for the bogus call on the Seattle quarterback and his low block tackle? That gave the Steelers almost midfield position in which they scored on a long pass play shortly after.
Sure if Stevens hadn't dropped a couple passes they would have been better off but the Steelers got more of a break from the refs this week than the Colts got two weeks ago against the Steelers. The officals costed a 14 swing in favor of the Steelers.
It really wasn't a good game. The Steelers put some points on the board but really didn't have a good offense and the Seahawks offense was good but they couldn't get their points. They screwed up the clock management at the end of the half, but controled the first half enough that it didn't matter at the time.
All in all, another black eye for the NFL refs.
Hats off to the Steelers for taking advantage of the situation.
Here's to the NFL refs getting in some serious work in the offseason. This has to be the worst season ever for consistantly bad officiating(sp?)
Officiating was criminal
Where did you get that I lived in your state? I've never lived in Pennsylvania and never would - the state is a piece of crap. Go Steelers.
I never said I lived in Penn, that place does suck as does Central Ohio.

central ohio sucks almost as much as the state of Washington.
The Seahawks gave a valiant effort and looked like the better team in the first half. But you really can't take it out on the officiating. Roethlisberger's push to the endzone WAS a touchdown, just barely. There was not indisputable evidence so there's no way the refs could have overturned it. And the game really would have been over had Ben not made the horrible, underthrown fade pass near the endzone that got picked off and returned for 76 yards. I almost thought the fix was in when I saw that pass. Seattle did get called for a lot of holds, but Pittsburgh's defense has a way of penetrating to force those calls. I saw it firsthand in Denver from good seats near midfield. Seattle still won the turnover battle, but the better team ultimately won the game.
What kind of cheese do you want with that whine?
Gotta give this one more chance. 'Hawks all the way, baby.
