C'mon now ....... ya gotta believe it's going to be the Seahawks. Best record of the teams that are left, home field advantage and will run wild over an AFC team playing in a dome in Detroit.

Even though there are a hundred threads about the playoffs, I'll bite again. Sir, the reason the Seahawks have such a "great" record is because they played scrubs all season. How many teams did they play during the regular season that actually had a winning record?
Now I'm not saying they aren't a good team, but IF they beat the Panthers (and that's a big IF) I doubt they will be able to handle the AFC champ in the big one. The hawks have their hands full from here out and they are not battle tested.
looks like a good possibility of an old afc west showdown if it's the broncos and seahawks. of the teams left, the steelers might actually be the best overall team. they can play d. they can run the ball and big ben has been phenomenal. it's just tough to ask them to go on the road 3 straight weeks. i'm guessing they're spent and denver should roll. carolina's a little beat up, so the hawks should have enough to win and get to the super bowl. broncos versus seahawks is a pretty even matchup, i think. strange year in the nfl.
Seahawk Sam-
I'll realize the Seahwaks as Super Bowl Chapms as soon as the game is over and they are hoisting the Trophy.
Welcome to the NW, Carolina. If you get here early in order to adjust, the weather will depress you so much you'll want to get back on the plane as soon as possible. Better bring your therapist - maybe redmeansdead can help you out.
I do hope that the rain lets up in Seattle next weekend. If it's raining the Panthers will certainly be at a disadvantage. At any rate, I believe that the Panthers will expose Seattle for the overrated team they are. The only banged up player for Carolina right now is Foster, but Goings is competent as far as back-ups go.
I said it before on a previous post... Keep counting the Panthers out... It worked 2 wonders years ago when they nearly beat the "Dynastic" Patriots.
Playoff records:
John Fox: 5-1
Jake Delhomme: 5-1
Steve Smith: 5-1
hmmm... wonder which game that one loss was?
So far, so good .......

definitely, Carolina is getting pwned. I thought it would be lose game, but things are turning out quite differently. It is still early though.
The "overrated" team is up 17-0 a few seconds into the 2nd.....
No believers yet, huh?????
I'll admit I was surprised at how easily they beat the Panthers, but I still say they won't be able to handle the Steelers.
Seahawks will win 27-17 over the Steelers, this redmeansdead should stick with starting his Ritz fan club.
I was in Vegas in July. I went to place a $50 bet on the Seahawks to win the Super Bowl (50 to 1)but I found I left my wallet in my room. I went back, took a call from my wife and forgot to make the bet.
I hope they lose...
Peyton Manning, after living a full life, died. When he got to heaven,
God was showing him around. They came to a modest, little, one-story
house
with a
small, faded Colts flag in the window. "This house is yours for
eternity,
Peyton." said God.
"This is very special," God continued. "Not everyone gets a house up
here."
Peyton felt
special, indeed, and walked up to his house.
On his way up the porch, he noticed another house just down the street.
It
was a three-story mansion... with a blue, green, and white sidewalk... a
pool shaped like a Seahawks logo... hedges shaped like Shaun Alexander,
Walter Jones, and Lofa Tatupu... and a 50-foot tall flag pole with an
enormous Seahawks "12th Man" flag.
Peyton looked at God and said, "God, I'm not ungrateful, but
I have a question. I was an all-pro quarterback, I hold many NFL
records, and I even went to the Hall of Fame."
God said, "So what's your point Peyton?"
"Well, why does Matt Hasselbeck get a better house than me?"
God chuckled, and said, "Peyton, that's not Matt's house... it's mine."
GO HAWKS

How does a team from Seattle have home field advantage in Detroit?
I will believe Seattle as the Super Bowl champs when the game is over and Seattle has outscored Pittsburgh. (The same can be said for Pittsburgh).
I am picking Pittsburgh--which should scare Pittsburgh fans.
Hey, West Virginia didn't play anyone either en route to their appearance in a BCS bowl, but they won when it mattered, probably because they weren't as beat up as the other team. Sounds very similar to one of the teams in the Super Bowl, but hey, I'm still picking the Steelers.
It's almost crunch time. Let's see if I'm going to have to eat my words. Go Hawks!
Maybe...... just maybe.

Cripes man! Even the 4-12 Packers beat the Seahawks!
