Did Hull split the same time as Hoare? Yeah they weren't moving fast during the first half of that first leg but Hoare still got handily dropped uphill. Not very impressed by him and Stewie today. On the flipside, that Kyumbe Munguti guy from Kenya was MOVING.

if you check the times, the last leg must have been longer then the first three

Just realized that the first leg should have been longer as well due to the start. Came in a couple of mins in when I watched

He did go out a bit too hard and Hull ran really well.
Pompeanni didn't get much love from the commentators considering she caught the African pack and hung in for a good part of the race. Hardly got a mention.

The first and last legs were longer. The start was by finish and up hill to start, while the 4th leg finish straight was down hill, but 1 and 4 still had the longer legs. Not sure what the start - finish straight added to those legs. As, the hand off zone was before the turn to the start-finish lines.

I watched the broadcast.
The first leg, and the final leg were longer (due to start and finish locations vs. the different exchange location).

The first two on the USATF list that accepted the spots. Letsrun has an article about the selection. I think they were both near 50th on the list. So, blame all those who declined, before you insult those who competed.
