I was about to ask the same question. Probably wants camera time lol

Letsrun overlords - can you make sure the people in charge of Chicago marathon (and New York tbh) are watching this so they understand how a marathon should be televised.
I think it's great they provide a live stream, but there's no clock or splits, and I don't know spanish
In the far upper right you can change the language.
Live splits don't seem to be working... they claim the 5k split was 14:42
Is that the guy in pink shorts?

In Run With the Champions is says Scott was never able to break 4 after 40, but that he was able to put together a string of sub 4:10's
14:40 I mean
16.08 first 5k
Glad she didn't go out ridiculously fast

I think the only masters runner (40+) to break 4 for a mile is Eamon Coughlan.

2:16:08 pace for the leading woman
Took the wrong bottle
Giday picked up the wrong bottle and dropped it 🤦🏻♂️
Seems like she could have taken a chance and tried whatever was in it this early on
Yes & tell them they are ____ ____ ____ while you're at it. ____ ______.
Which is very smart. There's a good chance someone was trying to poison her by giving her the wrong bottle.
Gidey isn't alone, BTW. Amane Beriso (2:20:48 pb) is also with her, along with a ton of sub-elite men.
On men's side, leaders hit 5k in 14:40, a group of 20. 2:03:46 pace.

No half blue and half white singlet. Looks like he's out the back now though
2:16:low is perfect for Gidey if you look at how she has paced her past WR's in other distances.

I don't know about that, but she does have to take a drug test after the race. No sense putting something unknown into your body.
She's saving her effort and might go for a huge negative split if she feels good.
This is her first marathon, so let's not expect a record ... although she might be able to break it.
Okay, I found it. I wouldn't call it a big button and it doesn't help the index folds at the top when you scroll up. I've never seen a stream split by language like this before. The splits are nice, but an added "distance completed" at the top of the stream would be prime.
