3:33 low is very solid for Nuguse, especially winning by two seconds. 1:52 was too fast, as seen by the 58 third lap, or if no one was with the pacer at 1:52 and their third lap was under 58, that again shows 1:52 was too fast. A little competition could have gotten him the tenths under 3:33, of course. But the other thing is that when you win by two seconds, you would probably go faster with the winner significantly faster. I like Nuguse's chances at 3:31 in a Jakob special. Maybe someone will drop out of Zurich 1500m and he'll get in.
Really sorry to see a poor race for Kessler. He'll be back.
