Yes I really like the 5,000 too. Mostly because it has the emerging guys in Chelimo, Mburu, Lobalu, Thierry N. And sure the American subplot should be great.
The mens 800 could be really good. I hope they don’t let the pacer go.
I’m actually somewhat excited by Knighton in the 200. He looked very good in Lucerne in the 100. Could be hitting his stride again.
Muir looked tired in Lausanne so not sure Welteji might not just coast in that one. Good battles behind though.
Womens 100 should be great.

Letsrun didn’t mention Luis Grijalva in its preview, but he listed in the entries. I hope he is there and gets his sub 13:00x
Is Getachew going for the world record tonight? Read a few weeks ago that she is but haven't seen anything about it since. No mention of it in the Let's Run preview either.
Knight ran 12:51 last year on a perfect day. Could Fisher and Grijalva do that?

I hope Grijalva is running. I for sure thing Fisher can run that, he is a smart runner. If Grijalva is running, stick to Fisher and a very good result we occur.

Looks like Kandie's hour run isn't being televised. Too bad. Hopefully he smashes the weak 'record'. Otherwise it's a rough , bordering on pointless effort.
Results page gives splits of 5:34 and 11:08 for 2k, 4k. Consistent 2:47/k pace, comes out to 13:55 / 5k, seems not that impressive but hopefully they can bring the pace down in the latter half.

7:39 is 12:45 pace. Does Fisher go with it and does he get the AR?
AR is 12:53.60 by Bernard Lagat. Fisher's pb is 12:53.73 from February.
8k is listed as 21:12. Of course this is wrong, unless they just blasted a more than formidable 4:29 2k split (lol).
Almost certainly the error is that 21:12 is the 7600m split, not 8k. But we'll see if they correct it.
