I hope Grant agrees with us and not you. If he agrees with us he might someday earn a medal. If he agrees with you, he will never earn a medal.

^^^^^YES
I am glad there are a few of us that understand this. I don't understand at all how anyone could think otherwise.
This is not USA's. 7th place would be the dream goal.
It is better to have tried and failed than to have never tried at all Grant tried and started his kick too late he will learn from this race and know to go earlier
None of you geniuses were around in the 90s, were you?
I'm noticing no one is criticizing Klecker. Maybe it would have been better for Fisher to finish 10th so you guys would lay off of him.
Everybody here thinks that Grant Fisher is in a different and higher league than Joe Klecker. The comments are from supporters, not detractors.
I am really unsure of why anyone thought Fisher was beating any of the three ahead of him. All this rhetoric, if he had been here, or threw down, when? Does anyone seriously think he was dropping any of those guys from 800 in? 4th is an excellent result, top 3 ? I would never have picked him for that , unless one of the others stepped on the rail and fell.
Hats off to Grant Fisher. He ran toe to toe with the best. There was no one in that field that was clearly better than him today. The margin for error is pretty thin when racing against the best of the best. Fisher should be in the tick of it with the Africans for years to come.
That was a great effort by Fisher. He went for it and I have no criticism for how he performed. My hats off to him. He came in 4th behind some incredible talent.
There were a fair amount of posters saying he was the guy to beat after he ran 26:33 earlier this year. And there was a fair amount of us saying that was not going to happen.
4th against these runners with that close kick finish is excellent!
This was a marked improvement in closing the race in about 54 in a 27:28 over US trials, but yet another 4th, 5th, or 6th place for the US in 5/10 tells me is that these guys have the physical ability but not the Ingebrigtsenian confidence it takes to win. They put themselves in the position of no shot at a win and always a late rush to the line for 4th-6th when they clearly have more in the tank. He must have run about 4:02-4:03 the last three laps. Was there really not another second or half second in there to medal or win? Why not push that last four laps under 4 and see who can stick when you're a 26:33 guy?
The last four laps. Also, who thought it was ever a good idea to hold the 10000m at 1 p.m.?
Why are they setting the schedule just so it's in prime time in Europe? If so, why not 11 a.m.? This is a race that should be held in the evening, well after sunset, in July in Eugene.
I kind of like what you are saying, but disagree a bit. They dont have Jakob I physical ability, as he is the fastest 1500 there is right now, while they are running against the world record holder. Its something else when you have the best PR in the field. But other than that I agree. Its something else when you run to win. But I don't think GF is there yet, physically and at least not mentally. He needs more races against these guys. Over a handfull of Diamond league races he can afford to test out different tactics. It is a blunder that he haven't done that before this WC.
