Corning over MW, 60-77.
Then Northport, Fairport, Saratoga, Arlington.

how would St Anthony’s have done in Class A?
Maximus Haynia with the win in Class B, 3rd overall in the merge so he should be in the mix for a spot at NXN. Best race of the year for Burnt Hills winning class B for their 11th state title and 6th straight (not counting the pandemic year), 6th in the merge behind Saratoga but ahead of Arlington. Still not enough of a jump to make noise at Regionals but definitely a solid win for them.
Burnt Hills 6th in the merge. rounds back to being #2.
They only lose him and Casey. If they get a 4 and 5 to step up next year they could qualify for NXN
Yuhasz and Pasek were only Saratoga’s 4th and 5th
Jibb was only MW’s 7th
Fairport and Arlington are looking to be the best 2 teams next year.
With Burnt Hills on the outside looking in if they find a 4th and 5th runner.
Auburn will be another darkhorse
Corning had a solid 1-5. This is exactly what they will need to have at NXR to go to NXN.
Ithaca looks good for next year. They got second to Corning at sections but they really only lose 1 person. Ithaca also has 3 sophs and 1 freshman on varsity
Monroe Woodbury might be a little down next year but they have 3 sophs on varsity and a freshman that almost made it. They will be very young next year and will be looking to be very good in 2024.
I find quite the opposite on Bernd.
He ran a 16:21 in the 5K a year ago at the Saratoga invite. And his track times would have made it hard to guess that he could have run that fast. He was their 2nd man today and he also ran a 16:18 at the Saratoga invite this year
Saratoga's girls annihilated FM. Wow.
Bethlehem put their top 3 ahead of FMs 2nd. Regionals will be interesting.
Wow if Saratoga’s 8th graders close the gap on the juniors next year, they are gonna be extremely good again
I think the 3-5 gap closing could use just a little improvement
It’s not fair that only 1 team per section gets to go to state. Bethlehem could have done so well
Looks like McGinn and Otis are in good shape to qualify for NXN.
I was at the race, weather was much better than yesterday. I don’t think the weather made any serious altercations, and I’d bet that the team results would be the same if it was totally dry.
If Monroe Woodbury qualifies, it would open up a spot to another individual.
If FM's girls race like they did today, Bethlehem will beat them.
If Gilstrap finishes in the top 5 at NXR that is.
McGinn was only 7th at states which was surprising
I think one or the other, but probably not both. Furman was coasting to his 16:21 today; he will be getting a spot.
I agree that only one will make it
But next year, McGinn will have no problems qualifying unless something goes wrong
Corning had a good day. MW did well in spite of Jibb doing poorly and Catherwood being over 20 seconds behind Gilstrap. Northport had by far their best team race of the season, everyone on that team killed it. They were a real dark horse at the start of the season ranked behind three other teams in their whole section but they've really come on strong. Fairport struggled today with Taranto not running too well and Passalugo falling off the lead pack. Saratoga had from the looks of it the worst day of the top teams, with Pasek and Yuhasz having not delivering. Ethan Green definitely had a great comeback race today, I did not expect Arlington to beat Calhoun today but it happened easily.
Speed ratings seem kinda slow, but here y’all go none the less

Saratoga's boys did nothing today to change their rep of only running well at SPAC.
