Time trialing and racing are two different things.
I think it's great that we have more than one top marathoner on the world stage.
I wish the men could get it in gear.
I'm sure Molly is devastated by the news.
Molly didn't lose the record, Denna did.
D'Amato had her chance in Atlanta and bonked.

The Woke crowd now refers to it as Atalanta. Careful or you'll get cancelled for the microagression of using the real spelling.
Seidel's PR is as far away from D'Amato's as D'Amato is from the world record.

it's not an issue of woke. it's an issue of illiterate fools. including you. who refuse to understand that "atalanta" and "atlanta" are two seperate things. the city being more related to atlas and atlantic. atalanta not being the female version of atlantic, but a whole different female.
Competition is great for the sport. And, at least outwardly, the 2 are very friendly and supportive of each other. So I imagine there’s just happiness for the state of American marathoning
Let's Run used to be a collective of highly educated and motivated people with a passion for running. It has devolved into a bar fight perpetrated by low intellect misanthropes dabbling in specious arguments that have little to do with running.

top marathoner my azz. 2:19 is no longer competitive on the world stage, while Seidel at least won a Bronze, and I'm not even a Seidel's fan.
I’d put the Olympic medal above the AR. If I had to bet on one of the two running in the same race, I’d put my money on Seidel. This record will fall in the next couple years. Seidel or Bates will get it. Maybe Hall. She seems to be in amazing shape too.

Keira wrapping herself in the flag must have been triggering to you commie dicks.

Everyone knows the real atalanta is the ⚽️ club in Italy.
Molly Seidel has proven herself under tough conditions against the world's best twice and against the best Americans during Olympic trials. Keira got a world record under ideal conditions and course. Molly is still our best competitive marathoner. Molly isn't being cautious about her challenges. And isn't avoiding harsh conditions or competitors. Molly still has the crown. Congratulations to Keira but we'll see what happens when she races major marathons under different weather and course difficulties.
Molly has shown she can run consistent in conditions that don't lead to fast running. The trials course was very hilly and it was really windy, the olympics was quite warm, a lot of people dropped out. And then New York is another tough course and was the top American at that course but still got beat by some international runners. She has yet to prove she can run a fast marathon when conditions are good to run fast. If the trials in 2024 are at Houston, which they were in 2012, would she be able to run as fast as some of the other runners like KD and Hall? And I imagine a course like that would be the ideal course for Sisson and I imagine Sisson could run a 2:20 in the next couple years in the right situation. Seidel got whooped at US cross a couple weeks ago in a 10k cross country race so it's not like she's some untouchable person, she has just run quite well in three tough marathons that weren't conducive to running as fast times. Remember Seidel got beat by 3 minutes by Hall at the London marathon in late 2020, between the trials and the olympics. London was a better opportunity for fast times than the other 3 marathons she has run and it was her worst placing marathon she's ever run.
