That may be true. His 2738 effort shows he was at least a top 6 guy that year if he had stayed healthy and every single top 10k runner ran in the race. I can't wait to see a Ritz/adbi/meb show down. I gotta imagine ritz would not want to let the pace dwadle. That could be one hell of a national race. And Browne or Culp too if they are healthy and racing.

I guess we'll be handicapping runners in almost every race then.
Only if you mean the royal we. Nobody's talking about handicapping besides YOU. It was noted by someone from Team Hudson who was there that the weather was warm. Continue to dwell on it, if you wish, but nobody else cares that much, but apparently you can't face up to the fact that you're saying that the person who gave the report (probably Hudson or Ritz himself) was wrong about how the weather felt, which means you're the only one who's wrong on this one.

Agree. Top 6 at the very worse, but probably top 3 or better. I just want to see him compete in top form against our best.
I ran the race as a local runner, and the weather was a factor in how fast the race was run. The temp wasn't that bad, but the humidity at race time was quite high considering the mornings have been very amicable the last few weeks. Ritz took it from the gun, from what I gather from my friends, and was out in 4:25 or so(which was confirmed by him in a conversation at the awards ceremony). He said he felt great until he "hit a wall" at about four miles. Nobody really went with him. Matt Gonzales was 2nd in 28:39, Sell was 3rd, don't know 4th, 5th was Cabada, Koborsi 8th, Jennings 15th. Only 10 men broke 30 minutes. Some guys, including Teg and Paul Kezes, dropped out. Katie McGregor won the womens race in sub 33, winning by a good bit, 2nd don't know, 3rd Alicia Craig ~33:50. Overall, a humid day on the gulf coast which lends to the slower overall times.
Bless you for providing results.

It's always going to be too windy, too hot/cold or too humid. Most races aren't run in perfect, tight parameters. I just think it gets old after a while to put an asterisk next to every race.
diurnal?
Ritz, Gonzo 1-2!!! Great race by Gonzales after a disappointing senior track season. This guy is going to be good over the next few years!!!
josh moen.. got 4th.........wasn't he a division 3 runner from last year?

Then don't, blabbermouth.
Problem is, he has yet to peak well for a BIG competition under his new coach. US cross nationals are kinda big, but not as big as they used to be in the 70s and 80's and they're nothing like World Cross or US Outdoors or WC and Olympics, very different competitive settings.

Congratulations Katie!!!
link to results?
what was moen's time?
great conditions last year...........low 60s at start and 25 sub 30 performances. Nice run by Cabada, 5th is pretty good
Whast did riley finish with? He hasn't ran a good race since his one good race this past spring when he ran 1325. And since he ran 1321 the year before in a race he closed in 56 seconds it's been a pretty disapointing year for him.
WHO GIVES A SH!T ABOUT THE WEATHER, RITZ IS BACK BABY
we want full results!!!
