Cincinnati is ranked #6, while Alabama is #2, MSU is #3, and Oregon is #4. Are you kidding me?? Cincinnati has a win over #10 Notre Dame on the road. Sure, they haven't blown out all their other opponents, but look at both Oregon and MSU. Each team has one "statement" win (Oregon over OSU and MSU over Michigan) that is comparably to Cincinnati's, while also having nothing else that would suggest they are better besides simply being in a power-5 conference. Oregon even has a loss to Stanford, while Cincy is undefeated. Check the advanced metrics as well - Oregon and MSU are at best a second-tier teams, behind Cincy on pretty much every site.
What might bother me the most is that putting Cincy at 6th with Oklahoma below them practically ensures that they will miss out on the playoffs unless they win out (and win out big), AND Oregon loses again, AND Michigan State loses (maybe in the Big 10 title game), AND Oklahoma loses. Essentially they have to be perfect and hope that the three other teams barely better than them falter. Do you seriously think they would lose at a neutral field to all the teams ahead of them? Maybe Georgia and Alabama and Ohio State. But not the others. This is just insane.
