Just to address the issue of his appearing all of a sudden. The water levels in Florida swamps were very high only last month. They were covering numerous roads and bike paths in the swamps, in some places by 6-8 feet, making them impassable, and now that water is gone. So, it is conceivable that he might have gone into the park when the water levels were high in early September, killed himself or been killed by an animal while he slept, been covered up by water and then the trails opened up in the dry season and he and his stuff appeared. But I don't know what happened and will wait for a more complete picture to open up.
The clear picture is that he has been found. Where they found him and how it took is a trivial issue. If his parents knew along where the body was, it can't be proven and I'm not sure if it would even be a crime anyway. Even it was, it would be pretty bloodthirsty to go after parents who had just lost the fruit of their loins.
