Never doubt the Champ. Didn't perform like he wanted in Tokyo, looking to make amends and take scalps in his homecoming to Eugene!

If he does it makes his Olympic performance even more pitiful. Choke city!

Pre will be a big test for him.
We heard he was super fit all year and he has underperformed. Is he overestimating his fitness or will he deliver (which means the American record) at Pre?
Go for it Centro!
Cheering for you dude!

And here's today's object lesson why the LRC message boards are "world famous", LOL!
Even winning an Olympic gold medal earns you no respect here!
Way to keep em honest, oomazooma, keep up the good work.

I think anything 3:48 low or faster would be absolutely massive for him. I can't see him beating Jakob or Tim.
Also, why so much hate for the guy? He seems like a confident, intelligent, charismatic guy. We need more of that in this sport. Also, he rarely if ever makes excuses for poor performances. In fact, I distinctly remember him leaving a presser a little bit early, explicitly stating that he didn't want to stand there and make excuses.
As much as guys like Galen Rupp are amazing, they're kinda boring. Centro brings an edge to the sport we need, his career medal count backs it up, and he doesn't shy away from getting his a$$ kicked.

Thank you, thank you. It aint much, but it's honest work.
Jokes aside, I'm in it just to spread my anti-tacticalracing propaganda cause it's a pretty unpopular opinion especially as you move up in notoriety.

Centro is universally beloved on LRC in comparison to Rupp.
He will run 3:48 and finish 5th.

Yup, by people who think medals are the end-all-be-all to any discussion regardless of the context of performances.
*yawn*
He is like the Rolling Stones, most of his best stuff was done early.
I bet he runs 3:47 for third.
I will bravely go home devastated if Centro doesn't at least PR again
He might PB if he feels he has something to prove. Also he trained for so long to peak at the olympics only to not make the final, maybe he wants to have one all out performance to see the fruits of his labor.
His mile pb before the olympics (3:49.2) converts to a 3:32 low, and if you think he has more to give than that 3:33 in olympic semis, he can pb. Not by much, tho.
Do you guys think Centro's currently a 3:31 guy? I'm not sure.
Anyway he can definitely pb if he's stayed healthy and fit this past month. He has the benefit of a pack of runners who can effectively pace him through to the finish, unlike the time trial where he set his pb. That alone can allow him to pb.
He has run 3:30-32 in paced races, so 3:47-48 is not that unlikely, but on the other hand, he'd have had to maintain shape despite peaking for Tokyo and travelling, and in the past, he's typically left it all out on the track at the championships and then raced below his best once or twice before calling it a season. I hope he has more in the tank this year, at mile, 3k, and 5k, because he should be able to break 7:30 (or at least 7:32), should be a good distance for him, and 13, as well as 3:48 in the shape he's been in at BTC.
I hope so. This probably means he will come rested.
Maybe another 3 seconds from his semi-paced attempt.
You're move.
