How did this many japanese get into the semifinal of 110mH? Aren't they all like 5'5?
They run below the hurdles
Men's 110 Hurdles Semi:2 from each heat + 2nd fastest
1st semi-final:
1. Levy - Jamaica - 13.23
2.LaGarde- Spain 13.25
3. Martinez - 13.27
The American Roberts ran 5th.
2nd Semifinal
1. Allen - USA 13.18
2. Manga - France 13.24
3. Thomas - Jamaica 13.39
3rd Semifinal
1. Holloway 13:13
2. Parchment: Jamaica 13:23
3. Izuma: Japan 13.35
Holloway is not looking that good to me. While he's fast to the first 5, everyone catches him on the last half. He was pushing like crazy over the last two hurdles while Parchment was running him down.

Warner's long jump in the decathlon would have won bronze in the individual long jump competition.
Decathlon/ heptathlon should really be the most important competition. Why isn't that the case? I think they should change the format. Staggered start in the final race. Make comparison easier in general. Biathlon / Nordic combined are good examples. Maybe do all 10 disciplines in a row, run one lap, throw the discus, run two laps, long jump etc. Should also incorporate shooting and carry a rifle.
Best of the Olympics changed the name of the event to the world's greatest athlete men's and the world's greatest athlete women's, then it would probably get more attention.
You could even have a world's greatest athlete transgender ;-)

If this race lives up to the hype (nobody having a bad hurdle mishap) it will be a corker. Let's hope.
BOOM!
WOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
Sydney another WR
Sydney! Sydney! Sydney! Sydeny 51.46 WR!!!!!
Wejo black screen please.
And she still chopped a hurdle or two. That wasn't even her best possible. Sheesh.
Sydney was of course fantastic but what a run by Dalilah who 100% went for it and defended that title with everything she had.
I really thought Dalia could do it. Nice effort from Bol.
Holy crap. Same as the men's 400h...
Sydney broke the WR earlier this season. And then she, Muhammad, and Bol all three broke the old WR (as it stood coming into this season) in the same race, the olympic final.
WOW!!!
I love her too. Good to see her getting some well-deserved attention this season. And she had a great start—I really thought maybe! But Sydney is only getting better.

Sydney's 9th hurdle was poor. That chopping steps made her lose momentum. Would have been faster if she didn't. But she got the job done. They both have to be part of the 4x400 now surely.
