There are various criticisms of Taylor that I have seen on this website today, questioning her coaching. So, let's look at what she's done and where the program is.
2022 Track, Nationals lists: (The problem with these lists is that they are pre-national lists from tfrrs.org, so that a program might have much better results than they show)
800 2:01/2:03/2:05 (Ellsworth/Seymour/Hunter)
1500 4:12/4:13/4:15/4:16/4:18x2 (Wayment/Ellsworth/Hunter/Alder/Hansen/Sargeant)
5000 16:03 (Frentheway--obviously this is not the greatest result, but Wayment would have been high had she run it outdoors)
10000 33:18/33:43/34:13 (Frentheway/Lee/Martin--again, not a great result)
Steeple 9:26/9:55/10:20/10:22/10:24 (Wayment, #1 by six seconds/Halladay #18/Warner/Dildine/Moffit)
Very disappointing performances outdoors at 5 and 10 in 2022, but excellent work at 800/1500/steeple.
Indoor 2021-22
800 2:04/2:04
Mile 4:33/4:36
3000 8:50/9:02 (wayment #2)
5000 15:15/15:52 (#1, Wayment, by 12 seconds)
2021 outdoor
800 2:03/2:03/2:04/2:04
1500 4:09, 4:10/4:11/4:14/4:16x3
5000 15:12/15:17/15:58 (#1 and 2 in Orton and Wayment)
10000 33:03
Pretty solid. Also, of course, Taylor led BYU to a national xc championship, Orton to an individual xc championship, the team to two national runner-ups, plus four individual track national championships and a DMR national championship.
