Jack Watson really showed up as a really solid 9th grader. And Tiffany Sax. That’s all.
Even though Brosnan is gone, we will get to see in 2023 how good of a coach he is based on how ucla does
How good of a coach Brisnan is will be determined by how well he can recruit. He will not be successful with the current roster.
Well, I'd say he isn't that good of a coach then. There is alot more to coaching than just getting the best talent. I think that is evidenced by the fact that he's never had a non-sub 5 junior high kid run fast in high school. Every single one of his studs have been phenomenal at the junior high level.

But look at what they have done before Brosnan got there.
His first day of coaching in 2016 he said to everyone: “Give me 4 years and we will win a state title.”
They never won state until 2018. 2016 was the first time in a while they went to state. And it was his first coaching year.
In 2019 I think it was also their first state title for girls. I don’t think they ever made state until then either

The guys at UCLA are not middle schoolers. I don’t think any of them broke 9:00 in HS and some were as slow as 9:20. There’s no way he’s going to coach them to sub-14:00. About 99% of coaching is having the most talented runners.
I think it’s a combination of luck, coaching ability, and recruiting. Obviously being able to take a school from zero to hero over the course of 4 years requires fantastic coaching ability + getting everyone to buy into the program and stuff, but he got lucky with Nico and Jace, and is probably great at recruiting to get the talent to maintain the program at the point where it is today.

Was Brosnan the person that developed the pipeline into the HS?

Nico and Jace didn’t even have the top 10 freshman 3-mile times in 2016.
One of Florida\'s top returning distance runners in Brayden Seymour will not be back for his senior year and is on the move to California to join powerhouse.
This is just getting ridiculous. If you watch the newest L&L youtube video of their latest workout in Big Bear, you’ll see that Isaiah Givens who ran for Pasadena this last year is training with them. When will the transfer madness end?!! They’re now going to have 6 sub 9 this year.
