during a recent run, i started experiencing a dull pain in my ankle. i've had achilles tendinitis before, but this doesn't feel quite the same. it's difficult to pinpoint the exact area because it's not a sharp pain, but as near as i can tell, it seems to radiate from the bottom of my achilles tendon. it's most painful when i point my toes down, when i flex my foot up, there is no pain. interestingly, the hamstring on the same leg has been tight for some time now...could they be related? so far, nothing is painful to the touch, unlike my old achilles tendinitis injury...
anybody have any ideas. i don't want to train through an injury and make it worse.
