They both run 3:36 but cole Hocker has a better kick so I think he will win the Olympic gold

lol. the hocker fan boys think he is so fast. Jakob drops a 56 final lap without winding up until 100 to go. Jakob runs 55.xxx pace for an entire 1500. Every time hocker drops a 54 or 55 last lap, his gallery of lovers lets their imaginations run wild.

Cole Hocker is a great talent. Please just leave it at that. Jacob I is much, much better.
Hocker’s gift is his turn of speed. He can run 25 seconds for the last 200 like few can. Jakob can’t do that but he’s good enough as far as 3:27-28 ability where he can build a gap by pushing from further out. Will need to execute better than he did in Doha.
Hocker might match the forth wheel on the Ingebrigsten wagon, Narve Gilje Nordas. He is going to run sub 13.13.5 and 3.35 very, very, soon. But far far behind Jakob. Nice try, though.
nice troll. Jakob ran 3:28 last year in monaco

Essentially nobody really cares about any of this. You actually have a horse on this race. So you do care. Your biases show because you care. Other people seem to care. It is meaningless though. Yeah Jakob is a better runner now. Probably always will be. Utterly meaningless though.

So Nordas will be better than Henrik pretty soon? Henrik looked like crap today.
Jakob wins
Hocker may not even make the team

Meaningless? Where did you learn that? A course in logic? Please, sue them and get your money back. My biases show? Honestly, where did you learn to argue like this?

Yes, we will soon see, at least in Firenze at the 10th of June. Nordas will run a 5000 at the 4th, too. He ran the last 1000 at 2.22.56 at the European indoors 3000.

This has been said so many times on this board, and just shows how ignorant NCAA fans are to the rest of the world. Jakob has closed a 13:03 race in 25.
Jakob’s always had a big a$$ and legs but it looks like he’s finally out some muscle on up top. He looked good. Strong.
The 1500m final along with other middle - long distance events at the Olympics vary so much with how they are run and won. Some are ridiculously slow where everybody waits for another to make the move and nobody does until the last lap and other times it's a quick pace from the start. Jakob is probably the overall favorite but there are any number of other athletes who could all take the gold if the race plays into their favor and they run a smart race.
Are we comparing their slowest times of the season? If so, then you need to claim Hocker's 3:38 or 3:39, whatever it was. If we're comparing fastest times of 2021 then you need to include Ingebritsens 3:31 1500 from indoors, which is much better than a 3:36 1500 or a 3:50 full mile.
Anyone honestly hyping up Hocker over Ingebritsen must be in college or younger (meaning immature) and not experienced in life to see years and years of racing, or hasn't followed the sport as long as the rest of us.
Well, let's not talk of hypothetical future races. In last night's race, if Cole -rather than Hoare - had been on Jacob's shoulder as they entered the finishing straight, could/would there have been an upset? Or, knowing Cole's ability in the final 100m, would Jacob have used different tactics?
Hocker would’ve been behind in 4th at best. Hoare and McSweyn are a level above him, not a given that he would have been able to stick with them the full race. I think he would have run 3:39 last night

Cole Hocker would have used his 10:1 100 and 20:4 200
