Hey guys I am a Jr in high school. Yesterday I had my first track meet of the spring season and ran 4:49. I went out in 65, although I'm not sure what my other splits were. I'm going to list out my PRs from the small winter season we had. In all the races I had little completion and was mainly by myself the whole race.
400 meter - 56
800 meter- 2:09
1600 - 4:51
3200- 11:03
Ideally I would like to run sub 2:05 and sub 4:40 closer o 4:35 this year. I think I can do it however I just need help with how to go about it. Recently I got a gym membership and did deadlifts, squats and lunges. After this I was unable to complete the track workout we had the following day 5x800m. Is it worth lifting or should I just focus on the track workouts to reach my goal.
