That's one take, but not what I was going for. This isn't a discussion about whether Rupp could set a WR. He can't. I was refuting the fact that someone 34 years old is already over the hill.
I gave those examples because if people are running world records 34+, then it is reasonable to say that a runner is not past their marathon peak at age 34. Maybe they are, maybe they aren't. I'm betting Rupp PRs in marathon before all is said and done.
