Best American runner right now?
I don’t think he could run sub 27 but maybe in the 2700-05 range. Very impressive nonetheless. Wonder what LRP has to say about this
It would be close to 27 flat. Closed about 8:30 last 3200m 4:10 last 1600m. If it was taken out in 13:30 it would be close at least 13:35 first 5000m. 13:46/13:25 is impressive negative split

3:36, 7:37, 13:11, 27:11 is pretty phenomenal at 23 years old.
US 5th all time!
Does anyone know if Fisher is the fastest US 23 year old all time?
10/10
Not the best American runner since he got beat by Marc Scott, but I think there's a really good chance he makes the Olympic team at 5k or 10k
FWIW, probably the most talented distance prospect in the US right now

Rupp ran 27:10 a week after turning 24, so it's close but Fisher has him beat.

Oh he is haha I had no idea
In that case yeah, Fisher is probably US #1 right now.

Yep. And both the 13:11 and 27:11 were pretty big negative-split races, really stepping it down over the last mile. So more in the tank for both. His robotic form is incredible. Looks the same at 100m as he does at 10,000m.
He just needs to work on the ability to *really* turn over on the last lap.

You should really do a bare minimum of research before posting.
The funny thing about his stride is that I used to think the robotic nature would hold him back -- I was clearly dead wrong with that, as he looked the same the whole race.
I think he could be close to 13:05 and 27:00 in more even races. That is something.
That would have been a world record in 1984

I mean, I knew his name, team, and time. The results page doesn't have his country listed so I just assumed he was from the US since most of BTC is and Marc Scott doesn't sound particularly foreign (other than Marc with a C ofc).
There's no need to get feisty, I think we should just be excited about the fast times that just got run :)
