Andy Eggerth sighting? Could he be moving into the head position at UTRGV
As a recent alum, I can say that Coach Flowers did nothing wrong. He advocated for us while the Administration doesn't care about cross country and track. This is the 3rd head coach the AD has pushed out since his arrival a year ago and I'm sure there are more to come.

Yes, Louisville.
So Louisville will have 3 paid distance coaches? Don’t they already have 6 on staff? Who is leaving?
Nope they will have a cross country/distance events coach and a pure Mid distance (400-800) coach.
Now the question is who does quincey hire? Bring back one of the former assistants Joanna Hayes or Carjay Lyles. Or bring in someone new?
Who takes over at Michigan then?

Looks like Loyola (Chicago) head job is open per the head coaches Twitter account.
What happened? Zero facilities but they fielded some solid teams.
Wilbourn has seemed like he has had a grudge against the distance team for years. Wonder if he’ll load up on sprint scholarships for Duke now. Unprofessional to do it after the team wins the conference for the first time.
Too long did not read 🤷♂️
Looked at the UTRGV press release...I don't think there is anything nefarious in terms of Flower's non renewal. Please don't insinuate he did anything unethical, unless you know. He was professional when ever I have interacted with him, and I know he is a family man.
The article made it a point to highlight conference finishes over his four years. Makes it seem this is really performance based (whether we think it justified or not).
UTRGV, as far as I know, is fully funded and in a talent loaded state. It has a hugh enrollment, and is a pretty decent school in terms of academics at the mid major level. Lot to like for the next coach.
But I don't think there is a DI school located in a harder place to recruit.
I agree that press release suggests the AD was unhappy with team performance. Fully funded? That’s pretty sweet.
Why would you say, “I don’t think there is a D1 school located in a harder place to recruit”?

Laramie, Wyoming
7200 feet (yay!!!)
Windy
Cold
Windy
Flat, soulless high plain (mountains are close-ish)
Windy
State Legislature might be as bad and dumb as Texas
Windy
I-80 meth
However, the The Valley would be tough to recruit to, as well.
Laramie and Edinburg might be 1-2 in those rankings.

Gosh I’d rather be dead than end up at any one of those schools.
Wish granted

bump
very surprised - met him a few times including on a recruiting trip
seemed to do very well there
agree - zero facilities
anyone have any insight?
Not a whole lot of smoke on SFA Head Cross Country Coach position.
Anyone got the inside scoop there? Seems like it would be a pretty good job. They've been competitive in the Southland for years.. I mean winning not just relevant. Nac seems like a cool town. Recruiting in Texas, lots of opportunity.
Walker is out - at least that’s the talk. Heins takes over CC/distance. Or women , based on job advertisement.
The SFA coaches are married. Did one or both of them leave/step-down?
