No. He has little experience in the judicial branch.

I just don't see the Dems going after her all that hard. Attacking a woman is just not going to be productive. I think they ask her a few tough questions about health care, abortion, etc, to get her on the record, but that's about it.
I agree it put's the Ds in a tough position. If they go after her on her religious beliefs it reinforces the message they are anti religion (see COVID restrictions on churches). If they go after her hard they will be attacked for not being pro woman. They should and I think will stick to the issues, but not get nasty.
In 2017 Feinstein said "the dogma lives loudly within you" to Amy Coney Barrett. Insulting her for her faith. The democrats will continue to melt down and say horrible things to her. They can't help it. Their poor behavior will get Trump more votes.

It's a fair question to ask. I think she answered admirably, hopefully she was honest.
She's going to get appointed and she's a religious loony.
There's no real discussion here.
The issue is what happens after Trump gets kicked out in a few weeks time.
Don't get why everyone gets so triggered by supreme court appointments. Should be a simple job not dependent on political ideology. What you believe does not impact what is constitutional. Unless some people want activist judges that will allow unconstitutional things they believe because they think it is for the greater good.....
But...but...but...Diversity.
Too much Harvard/Yale on the court.

He is a Canadian. So, no he should never be allowed on the highest court of the land. Also, he is spineless and lets Trump embarrass him by letting Trump call his wife ugly. Trump also attacked Cruz's father and Ted allowed that to stand.
Far more qualified than Kamala Harris.

Ahem, no. Unless you think qualified means letting her husband tell her who to make ruling.
When was ACB an attorney general, and when was she a senator, and was she ever a VP candidate? ACB's claim to fame is launching out a canal-busting seven babies (loyal Catholic). She belongs to a group that believe the men call the shots. Their group calls husbands heads (ruling heads of the household). And the women are called handmaidens (baby launchers).

I am concerned by the pick of Coney Barrett. My concern goes beyond her legal theories. I am truly concerned Trump is planning a coup. If Trump were attempting to achieve an Electoral College win, Trump would have nominated Barbara Lagoa. One of the reasons Trump changed his official home address to FL because Trump knows there is no way he can achieve an Electoral College win without FL. Trump obviously does not care about a legitimate Electoral College win. Trump has no plans of leaving office. I hope Speaker Pelosi has her Capitol Police at the ready. We have seen this story: A man elected once and never leaving office.
Welcome to Africa (like) nation otherwise known as 'shamba la wanyama' [Animal Farm].
Trump reminds me of several African dictators .......all of them dead;
1. Muamar Qadhafi (however you spell it).
2. Gnasingbe Eyadema of Togo
3. Jean Bedel Bokassa of The Central African Republic
4. Hosni Mubarak
5. Idi Amin Dada Conquerer of the British Empire of UG.
6. Mobutu Sseses eko Kuku Ngbedu Wa Zabanga of former Zaire now DRC. His wife was called Marie Antoinette. I AM NOT MAKING THIS UP!
7. Robert Gabriel Mugabe.
8. Kamuzu Banda of Malawi
9. Paul Biya of Cameroon (living)...and serving
10. Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo of The Equatorial Guinea (living and serving).
11. Jose Eduardo Dos Santos (living).
12. Omar bongo of Gabon
13. Dennis Sassou Ngueso of Congo
I haven't even thrown in Museveni of UG.
Then
14. Donald John Trump of the U.S. of A.
Americans somehow seem cool with it. Amazing!

Cruz would fold when the Judiciary Committee asks “Are you the Zodiac Killer.”
Look I don't like her politics and I think questions about her faith are applicable. It's not an "attack", he is creating/ interpreting law for every American not just white catholics.
I think it's going to be something like this;
Amy: I would never let my faith get in the way of my jurisprudence. I would not let it dictate a ruling.
Senator: Can you point to an example where a ruling you made contradicted your own faith
Amy: No
(I am very liberal but I think Trump should get the pick. But I am still angry about Obama being denied a pick and the lame-a$$ reasoning the GOP continues to spout. No one buys it guys, just stop. I think Gorsuch should be impeached for that reason)

I should be but it is clearly not. Take the horrible voting right decision. Roberts basically said (based on NOTHING but a political ideology) that the racism/ discrimination was dead and the VRA was no longer needed. Clearly that is not the case.

Among the men-Gorsuch or Kavanaugh.
ACB = 7 babies (4-ft x 8-ft piece of plywood to keep from falling in ... seven babies).
Kavanaugh is the one who flushed the toilet while on a live SCOTUS conference call (drinking on the job).

Has anyone notice there are only Catholic and Jewish justices on U.S. Supreme Court? I am not arguing there should be a ban on Catholic or Jewish judges, but our top court is only represented by those two minority groups, Catholics, 22% & Jews, 1 1/2% of U.S. population. While R.B.G. was alive, 6 Catholics & 3 Jews. Soon top court will be 7 Catholics & 2 Jews. I am sure there are plenty of lawyers and judges of no faith, Protestants, Muslims Hindus and other religions.
I was in Egypt during Mubarak era. If posters believe I am irrational, do know if Trump is not re-elected, Trump will soon be arrested and criminally charged on felony tax evasion and tax fraud by state of NY. There is nothing anyone on U.S. Supreme Court can do to stop NY from arresting Trump if Trump is not re-elected. Many or most of NY's charges are subject to Statue of Limitations. Trump is more motivated to stay in office than any previous president.

I'm not a supreme court nominee though am I, Hardloper?
This is a poor analogy. You assume that an undergraduate military education is as important to influencing a 30 year career in the military, as law school is to preparing you to become a Supreme Court Justice. It is not.
A better military analogy would be to compare each Law School, their faculty and culture to being "it's own branch of service." So Harvard and Yale would be the Marine Corps and Notre Dame would be the Indiana Army National Guard.

I didn't know somebody could canal-bust two adopted Haitian kids.
