I'm sorry to disappoint you but I don't know that much.
I don't know Lydiard training well enough to describe it.
I had the chance to run with great runners and talk with some great coaches and I like reading about training but there are people way more experienced than me here.
I'm from Europe so I have sometime a different view of training than North American which is interesting. I also learn a lot here from different views.

I walk between them. I do a few 20-25s accelerations after a run, fine. Helps me remember what real running used to be like for me 30yrs ago.
