I'm not sure I perfectly understand the benefits or modality of strides.
Here is my take: about twice per week, at the end of an easy run (or before an interval session), I run btw 3 and 6 times 80m with a middle top speed of probably 95% of my max speed.
In other words I can reach 25 kph, whereas my mile speed is 17 kph.
I'm trying to be as relaxed as possible and let my feet go as high as possible and rotating the hips in order to increase the stride length.
Then I walk back to give me enough time to rest.
Over the months I progressed at this. But is beneficial for long distance running or am I just training sprinting?
