As of right now: 28mph wind with gusts of 34mph. That's coming straight from the north, not NW. I expect plenty of personal worsts from the elites today

Just got back from an easy run that included a big chunk of miles 13-15...
I've lived just off the course near mile 15 for one year and this morning was the second-windiest run I've endured around the neighborhood (and Long Island City is probably the breeziest section of NYC). The entire course won't be a mess, but at certain points it'll be very bad for anyone who isn't in the middle of a giant pack out there.

I just got back from getting a coffee. It's not bad at all outside. We have winds like this about 50 days a year.
I did the race today. Wind was definitely annoying but I didn't think it was a huge negative. Maybe 2 - 3 minute impact for me running around 249 maybe I would've hit 247. I felt the winds were blowing in all directions. Mostly headwind but some on the side and even at times a tailwind. I was frankly surprised the elite men's winning time was so slow compared to recent history. I think it probably more of a tactical race because they thought the wind would be more of a factor. Just a guess.
